About Upper Back Pain and Fatigue

Pain in the upper back is almost always caused by misalignment of the vertebrae of the upper back.

The misalignment of the vertebrae causes pressure on the nerve roots branching out from the spinal cord. The nerves are the communications system between the brain and the body’s parts. The brain monitors and controls all the body’s systems all the time to ensure a healthy body.

When the pressure is put on the nerve roots it acts like a dimmer switch on a light, it interferes with the flow of nerve energy to and from the brain causing the brain not to be in full control of all the body’s systems.

The body always tries to heal itself so when there are misalignments of the vertebrae the muscles in the area contract to try to pull the vertebrae back to within their proper range of movement. Contracted muscles produce lactic acid and it builds up in the muscle causing aching and soreness. It often starts as a slight pain or ache and, as time goes by it gets progressively worse.

Some of the disorders caused by misalignment of the vertebrae in the upper back are. Tiredness, Croup,  Asthma, Chest Infections, Chest Pain. Irregular Heart Rate, Indigestion, Bad dreams. Fatigue, Fibromyalgia. Etc.

In the vast majority of cases I have found Tiredness or Fatigue to be caused by these misalignments in the upper back. I believe the interference to the nerves going to the lungs causes them not to be able to absorb the oxygen from the blood in the required amounts and that is what leads to the tiredness.

I know from my years of practice if I can correct the misalignments in that area there is usually a huge improvement in the energy levels of that person resulting in more interest in work and family and no more falling asleep in the chair after work, etc.

I use deep muscle massage, CranioSacral Therapy and Spinology to free up the facet joints of these vertebrae and allow them to come back within their proper range of movement. That restores the proper communications by taking the pressure off the nerve roots, allows the muscles to relax and allows the body to heal the disorder. It usually takes a few sessions but there is usually good improvement after the first visit.

This procedure is so simple and so effective I do not understand why the general medical profession don’t embrace it. This kind of therapy has been used successfully for over 100 years
